Lone Tree Yurt – A Colorado Yurt Glamping Experience

Experience the beauty of GLAMPING under the stars settled in the remote headwaters of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, allowing you to explore the great outdoors & relax. This yurt does not have kitchen, heating, or in-yurt bathroom facilities like the other yurts on the property.

Equipped with water jug, a coffee maker and fridge as well as outhouse, this simple yet affordable renting option is great for those who enjoy a more rustic experience.

Proceeds go to realizing sustainable education programs in the spring/fall and affordable winter housing.

Vehicle Access: Arriving on a 0.7-mile dirt easement from the highway, most vehicles can access the property except high-end low clearance sports cars. I drive a Volvo station wagon with no problem.

Note that no cooking stove, sink or utensils are provided. The common area has a propane grill, propane fire table, wood fire sauna, and cold plunge. This area is a great fit for one to enjoy the outdoors simply while also meeting other traveling guests.

Guest access

Located 15 minutes south of Salida over Poncha Pass, the yurts have all the uniqueness of being surrounded in nature with the ability to still enjoy the town and numerous hot springs around.

Each yurt has parking directly opposite for guest. Please share the parking spaces with others who might be using an adjacent space.

Other things to note

Dogs are allowed with a $25 pet cleaning fee and we can put out a crate and dog bed.
Cell phone coverage: Thre is no AT&T service but that is no surprise in the mountains. Verizon has great service.
