2014 is going to be a busy year. It seems like with each passing year there is more going on. That is probably due to the fact that our world is becoming increasingly populated and connected, allowing people to share more than ever before, technology increasingly accelerates… and probably also just my perspective as I get older.

I had the idea it would be an interesting exercise to write a weekly blog. While continuing the discourse on thoughts and happenings I feel relevant to us all, I realize that not every week ends with some significant thought or opinion worth putting pen to paper for.

However, maybe there is another line of thinking or reflection that can be realized by making it a point to write regularly. There is so much drive from society to achieve, but what are we trying to achieve? How do we differentiate personal growth and community growth from bricks and mortar, technology and innovation? Maybe by also discussing the simple things, the true benefits or shortcomings of our collective progress can be more easily observed. Maybe by bringing up the little things that we each have to deal with every day, relevant happenings in the microcosm of one’s own life can be explored as we all move through 2014.

For those interested in my posts, I thought it might also be nice to have something you can count on each week. So here it is, 52 posts in 52 weeks, posted every Sunday till 2015. Enjoy.
